Hello!  I am the Primary Literacy Coordinator for Erma Siegel Elementary School in Murfreesboro, TN.  I work in a classroom half the day teaching reading, spelling, and writing.  The last half of my day is spent planning and supporting teachers in the building.  

 

This is my training year.  I am traveling to Georgia State University this year for work with the Literacy Collaborative Program.  After completing my training, I will be working with the training of teachers in my building.

 

Literacy Collaborative promotes teaching children at their level.  It also believes in immersing children in print.  A large part of our day is involved with books and print.  We read print, write print, and discover how words work through print.  It is an exciting and busy day in a Literacy Collaborative Classroom.
