ERMA SIEGEL ELEMENTARY

Welcome to the wonderful world of ESL, English as a Second Language! Step into our classrooms at Northfield Elementary and Erma Siegel Elementary, and you step into the world!   Our students represent a microcosm of languages, countries, and cultures.  

We teach children in grades 1-2 at Northfield and in grades K-6 at Erma Siegel.  This year the children we serve and/or their families are from Mexico, Jordan, Japan, Korea, Vietnam, Puerto Rico, Cambodia, Syria, Colombia, Laos, Argentina, Nigeria, Russia, India, Bosnia, Sudan, and the United States.  The languages they speak are Spanish, Arabic, Japanese, Korean, Vietnamese, Khmer, Lao, Yoruba, Hindi, Punjabi, Bosnian, Nuer,  Hmong, Russian, and English.
