Murfreesboro City Schools will host its annual Kickoff to Kindergarten event on Tuesday, May 12, offering families a welcoming introduction to kindergarten plus on‑site registration assistance for the 2026–2027 school year if needed. Registration assistance is available at all schools. Individual tour times vary by schools.

For families needing translation assistance, translators will be available from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the MCS Central Office, located at 2552 S. Church Street.

Designed to support families every step of the way, the event includes help with required registration documents and access to translators as needed. Parents and guardians are encouraged to bring their child’s official birth certificate or proof of age, immunization records, a recent physical exam or appointment card, proof of residency, parent or guardian photo ID, and proof of custody if applicable.
