MCS is now accepting nominations for the 2025-26 Hall of Fame, honoring exceptional individuals—both teachers and non-teachers—who have made significant contributions to the district and its students.
The 3rd MCS Hall of Fame celebrates the history and impact of Murfreesboro City Schools by recognizing those who have shaped education in our community. Community members and staff are encouraged to nominate any former MCS employee, including teachers, bus drivers, education assistants, cafeteria workers, maintenance staff, administrators, or other staff members who have made a lasting difference.
Eligibility Requirements:
- Must have been employed with MCS for a minimum of 10 years
- Must be retired for at least five years
- Inductees may be living or deceased
“MCS has a rich history of serving Murfreesboro for over 130 years,” said Dr. Trey Duke, Director of Schools. “Whether the nominee served in 1935 or 2005, the Hall of Fame is a unique opportunity to celebrate their contribution to education.”
