We are happy to work with media to tell the stories of our students, our schools and our community.

The Communications Department offers assistance to print, broadcast and online media with interview requests, access to campuses, news stories and press releases.

We recognize the importance of media as a source of information about public education and our school district. We also recognizes the importance of ensuring the safety and privacy of students, staff, and families. Our goal is to cooperate with the news media to the extent appropriate by law, while ensuring that media coverage does not interfere with teaching and learning.

Media outlets should secure permission to be on school property prior to sending a reporter, videographer or photojournalist to a school.

The Director of Schools or the Director of Communications, unless otherwise designated in advance, are the only spokespersons for the District. Reporters should not contact employees directly to secure an interview.

If you are a media source and are not receiving press releases, please email us and ask to be placed on our media distribution list.
