Murfreesboro City students brought home winning ribbons and winning attitudes after participating in the 23^rd Annual Area 16 Special Olympics.

John Harris, MTSU director of disabled student services, began the day with a simple motto, “Let me win. But if I cannot win, let me be brave in the attempt.”

MCS students from Siegel, Northfield and Scales joined nearly 400 student athletes from Rutherford County to compete in a day of running, jumping, throwing and overall good spirited competition.

The Rutherford County Sheriff’s Office and the School Resource Officer division raised funds to support the games.
