Murfreesboro City Schools (MCS) invites families to take advantage of its open enrollment period for zone waivers, running from February 27 through March 28, 2025. This is a wonderful opportunity for parents and guardians to explore school options and apply open-zoned schools for the 2025-26 school year.

If your child currently attends a MCS school on a zone waiver, a new waiver application must be submitted for the upcoming school year.

All new applications submitted during this period will be included in a lottery-based selection process. Waiver approvals will be based on available openings at designated schools.

To help families make the best choice for their child, schools have scheduled tour times for potential new students and their parents. We encourage families to visit, meet our dedicated educators, and experience firsthand the welcoming and engaging learning environments MCS has to offer.
