Elementary students across Murfreesboro and Rutherford County are invited to participate in the Student Recycling Awareness Contest as part of the 2016 Murfreesboro Earth Day Celebration.

Do you have an idea to increase recycling at your school? Do you have an innovative way to “upcycle” used materials? Do you have a cool way to recycle energy and reduce waste? Form a team and complete a project that encompasses the theme” Recycle, it’s your future” and your team could be a big winner.

Students should work on projects as a team and submit a 3-5 minute video about their project, they steps they took to complete their plan and the results they achieved. Winners will be announced during the Earth Day Celebration on April 23.
