The Murfreesboro City Schools Board of Directors has been recognized with the prestigious Tennessee School Board Association’s (TSBA) Board of Distinction Award for their exceptional work in the areas of planning, policy, promotion, and board development. This two-year designation highlights the board’s commitment to effective governance and leadership in the advancement of student success.
The TSBA’s Board of Distinction Program acknowledges school boards that have demonstrated excellence by meeting specified requirements in key areas. School boards that achieve this distinction have gone above and beyond in their efforts to create lasting change through strategic decisions and advocacy.
“Decisions and actions made by our board play a critical role in the course of our schools for years to come,” said Dr. Trey Duke, Director of Schools.
The Board of Distinction Award emphasizes the collective work of the board as a whole. As the board continues to work toward creating equitable educational experiences and enhancing student performance, this recognition serves as a reminder of the importance of long-term vision and strategic leadership in public education.
